As we head into Fiber Connect 2026, we’ve been shortlisted for three Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) awards, reflecting how fiber networks are evolving in practice, not just in theory.
With the finalists announced on April 7, the list highlights the people, technologies and partnerships that are shaping broadband across North America. Our nominations span the Photon Award, Product Innovation and Constellation categories, each pointing to the same underlying challenge: scaling fiber without adding friction.
Recognizing leadership across the fiber community
Paul Breakman has been named a finalist for the Photon Award, which honors individuals whose volunteer service supports the FBA and the wider industry.
Paul’s contribution is rooted in something the fiber community depends on but doesn’t always see: steady, collaborative work on policy, alignment and shared direction. Through his involvement in FBA committees and broader discussions, he helps turn complex regulatory and deployment challenges into practical, actionable guidance for service providers.
That kind of leadership rarely makes headlines, but it plays a critical role in keeping fiber expansion moving forward.
Bringing clarity to fiber operations
We’ve also been named a finalist in the Product Innovation category for Mosaic One Clarity, designed to help operations teams focus on the issues that actually impact subscribers.
As fiber networks scale, the challenge isn’t visibility – it’s knowing what to act on first. More data, more devices and more interdependencies make it harder to separate network signals from noise and take the right action quickly.
Mosaic One Clarity helps teams cut through the noise. By correlating network and subscriber data, it highlights emerging issues, identifies likely root causes and guides the next best step, so teams can act earlier and with more confidence.
The goal is simple: fewer unnecessary dispatches, faster resolution and operations that can keep pace with network growth.
Across leadership, software and collaboration, the challenge is the same: scaling fiber without adding friction.Turning collaboration into real-world outcomes
We’ve also made the shortlist for the Constellation Award alongside GOCare and TEC, recognizing how collaboration can help turn technology into meaningful, day‑to‑day operational results.
Scaling fiber is about far more than deploying infrastructure. It’s about aligning network operations, customer communications and the teams behind them so issues are resolved faster and fewer problems ever reach the subscriber in the first place.
That’s why it’s encouraging to see the work between our three teams spotlighted here. Rather than operating in silos, this collaboration focuses on practical integration – connecting network insights with back-office systems and purposeful customer messaging in a way that reduces hand-offs and makes it easier for service providers to act with confidence.
The nomination reflects how teamwork done properly can improve responsiveness and help service providers deliver a more consistent experience as their networks grow.
Different categories, one shared direction
Taken together, these nominations point to a clear direction for the industry. Fiber networks are becoming more distributed, more data‑driven and more dependent on coordination across teams and partners.
It’s good to see the work we’re doing at Adtran reflected in that shift – from how we contribute to the industry, to how we build software, to how we collaborate on solving real operational challenges.
We’re proud of that progress and looking forward to the conversations ahead at Fiber Connect 2026.
