At ADVA, reducing environmental impact is fundamental to everything we do. For many years, we’ve focused on improving the sustainability of our products at every lifecycle stage, from radical initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of our supply chain to circular economy ecodesign processes that enable efficient disassembly for optimized recycling.

That’s why the Horizon 2020 Activating Circular Services in the Electric and Electronic Sector (C-SERVEES) project is a perfect fit for us. We joined up to extend our knowledge of possible circular-economy business models and share best practice through technology demonstrations.

We’re presenting one such showcase this month with a demo of our ALM fiber monitoring solution. It’s a simple but hugely effective network assurance solution that shortens repair cycles, ensures service quality and helps improve sustainability by reducing truck rolls and wasted repair efforts.

In our C-SERVEES showcase, we’re investigating how our ALM can enhance key aspects of circular services. This is achieved through a combination of innovation in ecodesign and intelligent analysis of related business models. We’re even installing certain samples at real customer sites in order to collect useful feedback that can be harnessed to boost the circular economy.

We’ll share more soon. In the meantime, you can check out the C-SERVEES website for all the latest on project activities.
